DPWH completes two flood control projects in Pangasinan

PANGASINAN ---- Two flood control projects have been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways  (DPWH) Pangasinan Third District Engineering Office here to address the problem of flooding in the area.

District Engineer George DC. Santos said the projects are expected to protect the lives and properties of residents living near the river and in the low-lying areas of the barangays from the damaging effects of flood.

The projects included the construction of protective dikes along the riverbanks.

One of the projects is located along Agno River in Barangay Guzon, Tayug, Pangasinan and has a project cost of P46.5 million.It measures 980 lineal meters.


The other project, measuring 300 meters, is located along Banila River in Barangay Barat, Umingan, Pangasinan. The project cost is P27.9 million.
