How Sharon Cuneta lost the chance to meet 'John Wick' star Keanu Reeves online

It would have been a meeting of a lifetime between megastar Sharon Cuneta and Hollywood star Keanu Reeves online.

This after Sharon almost won the bid for an event to help raise funds for a children's hospital charity which is also being supported by Reeves recently, as posted on Facebook Dec. 1.

Sharon confessed that she secretly bid US$70,000 (roughly P3.5 million) for charity.

She lost, initially. Later, organizers sent her an email informing her that she could be the actual winner after the initial bidder couldn't pay.

It took several days before Sharon opened her e-mail. Thus the organizers of the event forfeited the offer to Ate Shawie and awarded the winning bid to another bidder.

Apparently, the real winner would have the chance to talk to Keanu online.

"Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! I missed it because I didn’t open my dang e-mail! Oh well…Lord, sana may ganon pa po uli. Pero isip ko ayaw ni Lord makilala ko sya," Sharon said.

"I have a confession. Did you ever hear about that bidding for a few minutes live with Keanu over Zoom for a children’s hospital charity? I made a bid. I lost by $100.

"Natulog lang ako, paggising ko iba na nanalo. And my bid reached $70K - for sick children naman na charity kasi. Then for days I didn’t check my e-mail.

"When I did, there was one from the organizers pala saying that the winner couldn’t pay, after all! And if I still wanted to bid and get it!

"Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! I missed it because I didn’t open my dang e-mail! Oh well…Lord, sana may ganon pa po uli. Pero isip ko ayaw ni Lord makilala ko sya.

"Kasi baka makalimutan ko lahat ng kabutihang turo ng mga magulang ko at ng Bible sa kin. Juskopo."
