CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Twenty six police officers will undergo rigid motorcycle riding courses in an effort to intensify their fight against all forms of criminality in various parts of the region, particularly in this region’s premier and capital city of Butuan.
The Caraga Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) Motorcycle Riding Course (MCRC) regular class officially opened on Monday.
PRO 13 Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat, Jr. disclosed to The Manila Bulletin on Tuesday that a total of 26 Caraga cops composed of five Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and 21 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) will undergo training.
“The first batch PRO 13 MCRC will run for 45 training days and will focus on the development and enhancement of the skills of the participants in techniques and procedures of operating a high performing motorcycle, in basic and tactical law enforcement operations in all kinds of situations and road conditions,” the region’s police chief said.
“This course will further capacitate the Caraga cops in the fight against criminality in the region with the use of motorcycles,” he said.
“Given the traffic conditions in urban areas, skills in motorcycle riding will give Caraga cops greater advantage especially when chasing after criminals,”Caramat said.
