DFA reports 3 new COVID-19 cases, 1 recovery among Filipinos abroad

Philippine foreign service posts reported three new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and one new recovery among Filipinos abroad, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Sunday.

The new cases and lone recovery among overseas Filipinos were recorded in the Americas and Europe.
No new fatality was reported, according to the DFA.
To date, the total number of confirmed cases is at 11,674; total fatalities at 846; total recoveries at 7,565; and total DOH IHR verified cases at 2,715.
On the government’s continuing repatriation program, the DFA said it has assisted a total of 9,981 overseas Filipinos from December 1 to 5, 2020, the highest five-day total since July 2020.
This brings the total number of overseas Filipinos that were repatriated in the middle of the pandemic to 287,301.
