YouTube unveils top 10 most popular music videos in Korea in 2020

YouTube has revealed the top 10 most popular music videos in South Korea in 2020 as part of its yearender.

The top 10 list is based on views in South Korea from the period Jan. 1 to Nov. 15 this year. BTS and BLACKPINK have two music videos each while Zico, IU, ITZY and Oh My Girl are also in the top 10.

“Dynamite” music video by BTS is No. 1 on the list. The MV was uploaded on Aug. 21 this year and it currently is the No. 1 most viewed music video in the first 24 hours of release. As of writing, it has garnered 658 million views on YouTube.

Rapper Zico’s “Any Song” music video grabbed second place. It was uploaded on YouTube on Jan. 13 and has amassed 71.75 million views to date.

In third place is BTS’ “ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima” that was released on Feb. 21 this year and has accumulated 296 million views as of writing.

BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” bagged fourth place. It was uploaded on June 26 and it became the No. 1 most viewed MV in the first 24 hours of release on YouTube. It is currently in second place in the ranking. As of writing, it has 674 million views on YouTube.

IU’s “Eight” (featuring BTS’ Suga) placed fifth. The music video was released on May 6 and to date, it has 105.97 million views.

K-pop girl group ITZY’s “Wannabe” is in sixth place. It has garnered 242 million views on YouTube since its release on March 9 this year.

Grabbing seventh place is Korean actor Jo Jung-suk’s “Aloha” MV released on March 27 as part of the Korean drama “Hospital Playlist” original soundtrack (OST). It has 18.79 million views to date.

Korean trot singer Na Hoon-a’s “Tes Bros” MV, released on Aug. 20, placed eight and has 11.96 million views as of writing.

BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” is in ninth place. The MV was released on Oct. 2 and got 61.4 million views in the first 24 hours of release to place seventh on YouTube’s All-Time Top 24 Hour Music Debuts. To date, it has 273.8 million views on YouTube.

K-pop girl group Oh My Girl’s “Nonstop” MV placed tenth. Released on April 27, the MV has so far accumulated 51.71 million views on YouTube.

In the Philippines, the top 10 trending music videos in 2020 include three MVs from BLACKPINK and one from BTS. BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream” and “How You Like That” Dance Performance Video ranked second, third and seventh, respectively. BTS’ “Dynamite” placed fourth.
