Broadcast journalist-radio commentator Anthony Taberna has come out to share his eldest daughter Zoey's story a year after it all began.

Dawn of Dec. 2 last year, Zoey was rushed to the hospital complaining about unexplained pain on her legs.

The 45-year-old father of two admitted they had no idea what was happening to their child.

However, after running multiple tests, she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Zoey is still recovering but just like most parents, Anthony and his wife Rossel are hoping for a positive outcome.

Meanwhile, Zoey also wrote about her experience on social media.

She admitted to being "very scared" the first time she heard the diagnosis.

"Just the word ‘leukemia’ itself made me so afraid," she related. "Especially since I had to undergo chemotherapy. I needed to chop off all my hair and that made me very insecure and sad all the time. I really thought my life would already end there, but no. I stayed strong and did my best."
