Netflix announces Korean adaptation of its Spanish original series 'La Casa de Papel'


Fans of "La Casa de Papel (Money Heist)" are thrilled after Netflix recently announced that they are producing a Korean adaptation of the said Spanish show.

According to the release sent to Bulletin Entertainment, the new version will be set in Korea.

Kim Hong-sun will be sitting on the director's chair with Ryu Yong-jae and his team as screenwriters.

The production is a collaboration between BH Entertainment and Contents Zium.

Since Part 1 premiered in 2017, the heist of "La Casa de Papel" has been storming the world. More than 65 million member households chose to watch Part 4 of the Spanish language series in the first four weeks of its release in April 2020, and the 5th and final part of it is currently in production.

Netflix noted that more information about the adaptation will be announced at a later date.
