K-pop idol group Super Junior marked their 15th year in the business with a concert and an exhibition that showed their history.

Super Junior debuted on Nov. 6, 2005 with the song “Twins (Knock Out)” with 12 members. Kyuhyun was added in 2006.

To celebrate the milestone, Super Junior held an online fan meeting on Naver V Live on Nov. 7 where they performed their iconic songs including “Miracle,” “Sorry, Sorry” and “Mr. Simple.”

They also held an exhibition that showed their history, unit activities, stage costumes, awards and trophies.

On Nov. 6, Super Junior released “The Melody,” a pre-release song of their 10th album “The Renaissance,” which will be released in December.

"Something impossible happened. We made it through 15 years. Pushing through and not giving up has brought us here. We'll keep going. Members, fans, staff - everyone, I love you and look up to you," Super Junior leader Leeteuk wrote on Instagram, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.

Member Eunhyuk posted, "Fifteen years, it's hard to count all the memories that we've built together. Thinking of how young and reckless we were just makes me tear up.”

During a V Live broadcast on Nov. 6, SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man and Korean celebrities congratulated Super Junior on their 15th anniversary through video messages.

“It feels like yesterday but wow, it has been 15 years. I’m so proud of our members who worked their best under the name Super Junior. And they are just still lovely to me. And to E.L.F. who have been with the members and loved them always, I send my appreciation and would like to congratulate you as well,” Lee Soo-man said.

Among the Korean stars who congratulated Super Junior were EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin, Seventeen, Girls’ Generation’s Hyo-yeon, GFriend and NCT.

In the Philippines, Super Junior emerged as one of the most popular K-pop artists. They had nine No. 1 albums in the Philippines: “Sorry, Sorry,” “Super Girl,” “Super Show 2 Live Album,” “Don’t Don,” “Bonamana,” “Bonamana Version C,” “Perfection” and “Mr. Simple” versions A and C. Super Junior also received three gold record awards in the country.

Super Junior held their first ever concert in the Philippines on April 10, 2010 at Araneta Coliseum through “Super Show 2” wherein Manila became the last stop for the tour.

The show was a success. It was in January 2010 when Pulp Live Productions through Happee Sy announced that Super Junior would be coming to the country for a concert and Manila Bulletin was the first to report about it.

In total, Super Junior have held five Super Show world tours in the Philippines. “Super Show 2” in April 2010, “Super Show 3” in 2011, “Super Show 5” in 2013, “Super Show 7” in 2018 and “Super Show 8” held on Dec. 15, 2019.

“Every time we’re here, we see how the buildings keep going up here in the Philippines. And as much as the building goes high, your love is growing as well,” Leeteuk told Pinoy fans during “Super Show 8.”

Donghae said, “I can still feel that your love for us is still hot. You guys are so amazing and awesome.”

Super Junior fans marked the 15th anniversary with different projects. In the country, Super Junior United Philippines made online galleries under “Super Junior: Through the Years” at https://tinyurl.com/SJThroughtheyears as tribute to their idols.
