TNT reveals Mamba jerseys

The TNT Tropang Giga will be sporting a different look in their game against sister team Meralco Saturday night in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.

TNT unveiled on social media Saturday a new black and gold color scheme for its uniform, paying homage to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

"Unleashing the ALL BLACK GIGA MAMBAS tonight! get that win #TropangGIGA!!!" the team announced on its official Twitter account.

On Instagram Story, TNT also posted the uniform accompanied with yellow and black heart emojis.

This will be the first time that the franchise will appear in black jerseys, veering away from its traditional blue and yellow colors.

The "Black Mamba" jerseys worn by the Lakers during the NBA playoffs had that winning touch for Los Angeles, securing four of five victories while clad in the commemorative uniforms.

The Tropang Giga hope to emit the same energy when they play against the Bolts at 6:45 pm at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center to cap off the double-header.

TNT, which is now on a two-game skid, had lost its top spot after an 85-79 loss to the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings.

And the "Giga Mamba" jerseys might just be the lucky charm the Tropang Giga needed to get back in the win column.

Ginebra sits atop the leaderboard at 7-2 while TNT and the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters share the second seed at 6-3.

Meralco, meanwhile, is riding on a two-game winning momentum to rank third and improve at 5-3.
