Dream come true: Hong Kong Disneyland's transformed castle is set to reopen

It will feature the iconic 14 Disney princesses and queens this time!

The Magical Castle of Dreams has kept Disney fans waiting for quite a while after its postponed reopening date, but the wait is over!

Hong Kong Disneyland will be unveiling its newly-transformed centerpiece just in time for its 15^th anniversary in Nov. 21.

The theme park, staying true to its grandiose promise, reimagines the former Sleeping Beauty Castle into a bigger, livelier structure with architectural elements that celebrate diversity and encompass the theme and cultural features of not two, but all 14 princesses and queens of the Disney franchises.

From the outside, you can expect the lone tower to grow turrets and spires that pattern the stories of our favorite characters, too.

According to the website, there will also be “a brand new, breathtaking nighttime spectacular as well as a new daytime show, details of which will be unveiled at a later date.”

New major attractions to look forward to include the icy, snowy Frozen-themed area, and an Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle immersive hub to replace the Iron Man Experience, as part of HKDL’s multi-year expansion.
