Viral video shows boy crying: 'Dami ng pangalan ko Lord!'

A video of a five-year-old kid from Quezon City went viral online after he was seen crying for having "too many" names.
Drayven Thomas Valdez, the little boy in the video, was crying and complaining to his parents over his "long name" because he was having a hard time writing it down
“Gusto ko na bawasan pangalan ko,” the boy said in the video.
He asked his parents to rename him “Boy Valdez” instead.
“Gusto ko Boy Valdez. Mas madali na isulat ang Boy tapos Valdez. O madali lang ’yon,” he added.
His father, Ray Jay, said his son even wanted to go to the city hall just to change his name.
“Gusto pa nga pong magpasama sa city hall para palitan ’yong pangalan niya eh,” Ray Jay said in a report from 24 Oras.
Drayven was required to write his full name on his worksheets.
"He wrote the numbers from 1-100 bago pinasulat sa kanya yung name niya. Kaya po umiiyak yung bata dahil pagod na yung kamay," Drayven's father clarified.
As of this posting, the video has already garnered more than one million views.
Filipinos have a penchant for giving their children multiple names. Some name their children after their ancestors or after saints whose names are written in most Catholic calendars. Most, however, end up giving their children two to three names based on suggestions made by family members and the personal choices of the child's parents.
According to the Guinness World Record, the longest name to appear on a birth certificate is for Rhoshandiatellyneshiaunneveshenk Koyaanisquatsiuth Williams, born to Mr and Mrs James Williams in Beaumont, Texas, USA on September 12, 1984.
