April 'Boy' Regino passes away at 59

Jukebox Idol April "Boy" Regino has passed away. He was 59.

The news was confirmed by the latter’s brother, Vingo, through a Facebook post.

“Nakakalungkot naman ang araw na ito… wala na ang Kuya April Boy ko…,” the post read.

The comment section was immediately filled with message of condolences from netizens.

The celebrity is known for his hits likes "Paano Ang Puso Ko," “Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin,” Umiiyak Ang Puso," “Tanging Hiling,” Ye Ye Vonnel," “Kahit Kaibigan Lang,” etc.

In 2009, April Boy was diagnosed with prostate cancer and diabetes.

In 2015, he was diagnosed with Diabetic Retinopathy which caused him to lose sight in his left eye.

April Boy is survived by his wife Madel, son JC; and brothers Vingo and Jimmy.
