SMDC wins big by building resilient, sustainable communities

Big win at 8th PropertyGuru Awards attest to developer’s abiding commitment to the Filipino homeowner

This was the mantra that propelled SM Development Corporation (SMDC) to dominate the 8th PropertyGuru Awards, clinching for the Filipino developer the coveted Best Developer award, as well as several major awards, during ceremonies held onlinelast November 25.

The recognition is testament to the success of SMDC’s efforts to give Filipinos the best value for their hard-earned money, with homes that provide the best possible living experience.

SMDC projects have redefined luxury and made the cosmopolitan lifestyle accessible to more Filipinos through practical, affordable, budget-friendly payment schemes, building a virtuous cycle that feeds into the success of its commitment to resilience and sustainability.

SMDC has consistently championed sustainability to mitigate the effects of rapid urbanization. This is accomplished through thoughtful design and construction processes, an efficient local supply chain, and project maintenance practices.

The company allocates more than 60 percent of its developments to open spaces and common areas where community members can gather and feel safe.

On top of the recognition for its property developments, SMDC also received a Special Recognition in CSR for its The Good Guys community program.

The Good Guys program espouses SMDC’s role as community builder, and a significant contribution to nation building.

In addition to being named Best Developer, SMDC also bagged the Best Lifestyle Developer Award.

It also went home with several major awards for its various projects.

Sail Residences was the runaway winner with Best Landscape and Best Condo Architectural Design awards.

Fern at Grass Residences bagged the Best Lifestyle Development Award. Park Residences was named Best Condo Development (Luzon) and Charm Residences took home the Best Mid-End Condo Development Award for Metro Manila.

Several SMDC properties were Highly Commended in several development categories: S Residences (Best High-End Condo Development for Metro Manila); Leaf Residences (Best Mid-End Condo Development for Metro Manila); Bloom Residences, Field Residences and Vine Residences (Best Affordable Condo Development for Metro Manila); Green 2 Residences and Hope Residences (Best Condo Development for Luzon); Smile Residences and Style Residences (Best Condo Development for Visayas); S Residences and Sail Residences (Best Lifestyle Development).

In the Design category, the following properties were Highly Commended: S Residences (Best Condo Architectural Design, Best Condo Interior Design and Best Landscape Architectural Design); Sail Residences and Shore 3 Residences (Best Condo Interior Design).

The 8th PropertyGuru Philippines Awards is spearheaded by the PropertyGuru Group, dubbed “Southeast Asia’s pioneering and most trusted property technology company.”

SMDC will be representing the Philippines at the 2020 Asia Property Awards to be held virtually on December 5.
