Malacañang has congratulated the passers of the Physician Licensure’s Examinations (PLE) including the daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, referring to doctors as the real heroes during the global health crisis.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque made the statement after 3,538 out of 4,704 examinees passed the Professional Regulation Commission’s PLE as the country continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his Monday presser, Roque congratulated the Philippines' new doctors and their parents.
"Congratulations to the new doctors and congratulations to their proud parents," he said.
Roque likewise congratulated Janine Patricia ‘Tricia’ Robredo, the daughter of Vice President Robredo, days after he called out Tricia for joining in the bandwagon of people looking for President Duterte during the recent typhoon.
"Congratulations po sa anak ni VP Robredo (Congratulations to the daughter of Vice President Robredo)," he said.
The young Robredo graduated last July, obtaining from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health a dual degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master in Business Administration (MBA).
"Sana ang mga anak ko rin ay mag-graduate din at maging doktor din (I wish my children can become doctors as well)," he added.
According to Roque, doctors are the new heroes during the pandemic, and that having new doctors would mean more people will help address the health crisis.
"Sa panahon ng pandemya, talagang kayo po ang mga bagong bayani (In this time of a pandemic, you really are the new heroes)," he said.
"Inaasahan po natin na dadagsa po ang magbibigay ng tulong-medikal sa ating bayan habang wala pa pong solusyon sa pandemya (We expect that there will be a lot of people who will give medical assistance to our country while there is no solution to this pandemic)," he added.
