Just found out we can watch this K-pop awards show live at home

And we just had to let you guys know about it, too

The digital space has been the home of K-pop fans even before the pandemic. You could see different fandoms clog up Twitter threads with their fancams, followed, unfortunately by KJ memes that counter the fanfare. I mean, geez, people, chill. Just scroll past. K-pop fans dominate trends with award-appropriate hashtags. And their collective action also goes beyond chart-tracking by hosting fundraisers and jumpstarting help hashtags for every cause you can think of—typhoon, racism, and so on.

When the awards come knocking, that’s where it all goes a little crazier. And we’re all for it.

Since a lot of concerts are now staged online, including BTS’ Map of the Soul ON:E, TWICE’s World In A Day, IZ*ONE’s Oneiric Theatre, and even the KCON:TACT Summer 2020, it’s also best to stream award shows that fans all over the world can catch at the same time, with their own lightsticks in
hand, of course.

This is the idea behind The Fact Music Awards 2020 (TMA), an on-touch awards ceremony organized by THE FACT Co. and FAN N STAR. The awards show aims to transcend offline spaces and experiences by using state-of-the-art broadcast methods that enable artists and fans to feel realism—the impression of the stage with the vividness of their idols standing in front of them.

Luckily for Filipino fans, you can also get the chance to witness TMA on Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. Philippine Time (4 p.m. Korean Time) via KTX.ph, with exclusive access to a total of four hours worth of content, featuring the red carpet, main program, and the much-awaited performances of all participating artists—all of that for only ₱655.

Upon purchasing your ticket, you will receive an email notification that contains an e-ticket and a unique link to the live stream.

To get you a little (or a lot) psyched up, the final line-up of confirmed artists attending and performing their latest bops live at the awards ceremony are BTS, TWICE, Mamamoo, (G)I-DLE, ITZY, Stray Kids, TXT, ATEEZ, CRAVITY, Weekly, Super Junior, Seventeen, NU’EST, Got7, MONSTA X, Kang Daniel, Jessi, The Boyz, and IZ*ONE.

But before the actual event, you can already vote for your favorite idols to win the coveted TMA Popularity Award and FAN N STAR Choice Award categories at the Fannstar website and mobile app, which is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The voting duration is until Dec. 7, and will be awarded on the day itself.

Last year's as-voted-by-the-fans winners include some of this year's performers, such as BTS, who bagged the TMA Popularity Award, Super Junior, who won the FAN N Choice Award in the artist category, and Kang Daniel, who scored the FAN N Choice Award in the individual category.

Tickets are ₱655 and can be purchased at https://www.ktx.ph/events/26942/the-fact-music-awards/ for access to the Philippine live stream.
