Security guards applying for permits and those seeking a license to own guns can now avail of the services at Camp Crame in Quezon City even during the weekend after the Philippine National Police (PNP) extended the working hours of its personnel involved in frontline services.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Debold Sinas held his first command visit to Police Regional Office (PRO-7) Central Visayas were at least 2,000 loose and seized firearms from police operations and New Peoples Army (NPA) surrenderees were presented in Camp Sergio Osmena Cebu City on Saturday. But PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas said the License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP) for private security, and the License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOFP) at the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) in Camp Crame will only be available from November 28 to December 13 this year.

"Under the new normal, we ensure what is the best for our clients who avail (themselves of) our frontline services including the process of LESP for the security sector, and LTOFP for private individuals," said Sinas.

He said the move is to decongest Camp Crame during weekdays. Based on the PNP data, the OSS accommodates more or less 800 applicants daily.

Brig. Gen. Rolando Hinanay, director of the Civil Security Group (CSG), said that during Saturdays from November 28 to December 13 this year, the services will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 12 noon during Sundays.

“The scheduling scheme for clients will be based on an online queuing system to control and streamline the number of visitors in Camp Crame,” said Hinanay.

Hinanay said the OSS Annex Office at the PTCFOR (Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence) Office designated for a smooth process of DI clearances needed in applying LESP and neuro-psycho tests and drug tests for LTOFP applicants.

Sinas said that he is also eyeing to open CSG Extension Offices to be stationed in Eastern Police District (EPD), Northern Police District (NPD), and Southern Police District (SPD).

"Aside from this development for CSG services, we are working on the possible opening of LTOFP booths in shopping malls in Metro Manila, and printing hubs of LESP and LTOFP cards to be placed in all Police Regional Offices nationwide," said Sinas.
