Mayor Oca Malapitan on Wednesday led the activity held at the Bagong Barrio Senior High School, Caloocan High School, Tandang Sora Integrated High School, Caloocan City Science High School, and MB Asistio High School, where Grade 11 and Grade 12 students received the tablets.

"Ang proyektong ito ay pinagsikapang maisakatuparan ng ating Pamahalaang Lungsod upang makatulong sa ating mga mag-aaral kaugnay ng ipinatutupad na blended distance learning (We aimed for this project to help our students with the ongoing blended distance learning)," Malapitan said.

The local chief executive also assured Grade 9 and 10 students of other public schools that they will also get the tablet devices in the coming days.

In September, the local government said that it would give about 66,000 tablets to the city's public Grade 9 to 12 students, while free modules to Kinder to Grade 8 students.

"Sinuportahan natin ang division of city schools ng Caloocan sa paggawa ng module sa pagbili ng makina at iba pang kagamitin para sa imprenta nito (We supported our division of city schools in printing modules through buying machines and other equipment necessary)," Malapitan said during his recent State of the City Address. "Sa abot ng ating makakaya ay hindi po natin pinabayaan ang ating mga mag-aaral (We did not neglect our students on our own capacity)."
