Police Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro admitted receiving verbal orders for his transfer to Cramp Crame.

Although no official order has been issued yet, Ferro will reportedly lead a unit in Camp Crame.

In his visit to the PRO 7 Headquarters, PNP Chief Gen. Debold Sinas hinted that Ferro may be transferred to another unit as part of career advancement.

Ferro said he was ready to follow the directive from the national headquarters.

“As a good soldier, I will follow the directive of our chief,” said Ferro.

Ferro took over as PRO 7 director in February this year. Under his term, the PRO 7 launched an intensified anti-illegal drug campaign.

The Cebu City Council recently passed a resolution, declaring Ferro an adopted son of the city.

The City Council recognized Ferro after the PRO 7 seized more than P700 million worth of shabu from February to October this year.

Last September, then PNP Chief Camilo Cascolan ordered the relief of Ferro, and named Police Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo as the new PRO 7 director.

Ferro, however, stayed put after the order was deferred.
