The Philippine National Police (PNP) has dismantled all the quarantine facilities inside Camp Crame in Quezon City to give way for the physical fitness programs for policemen as part of the normalization process in police camps.

PNP Chief Gen. Debold Sinas said all PNP personnel who are either suspected of, or have tested positive for coronavirus, are now being transported to quarantine and isolation facilities outside police camps.
One of them, said Sinas, is a hotel in Metro Manila which was designated by the Department of Health as an isolation facility for policemen who would test positive for the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).
He said the new isolation facility has 100 rooms.
“We are now approaching, we are now practicing going to normal,” said Sinas.
Part of the normalization, according to Sinas, is to bring back the normal activities inside Camp Crame such as physical exercises for PNP personnel especially every morning and every afternoon.
Sinas said this is the reason why the quarantine facilities located at the PNP Grandstand were dismantled.
The only remaining facility for police COVID patients inside Camp Crame, according to Sinas, is the one at the Kiangan Hall where patients in serious condition are admitted.
“We are already setting up medical facilities like oxygen and other emergency equipment to help our personnel,” said Sinas.
Based on the latest PNP data, there are 20 new cases of COVID-19 in the PNP, which brought to a total of 7,892 PNP personnel the number of cases in the police organization.
The latest data also revealed that a civilian employee of the PNP, assigned to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-National Capital died of the COVID-19. The civilian employee was the 26th fatality in the PNP.
