DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development (DCHD) reported 52 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 105 recoveries and 11 new deaths in the Davao region on Monday, November 23.
Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin, Davao region now has a total of 8,428 reported cases, 5,579 recoveries, and 319 fatalities.
The total number of active cases is currently at 2,530.
The DOH said all the new cases were of local transmission. The new cases included 50 from Davao City, and one each from Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro.
The fatalities included 10 from Davao City, and one from Davao del Norte.
Meanwhile, among those who have recovered were 76 patients from Davao City, 12 from Davao del Sur, eight each from Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte, and one from Davao Occidental.
Tagum City records 2 fatalities
On the other hand, the City Government of Tagum said it recorded two deaths on Monday, including a 74-year-old female patient and a 24-year-old male patient. Both patients were from Visayan Village.
The COVID-19 City Task Force of Tagum City said the 24-year-old patient was the youngest fatality recorded in the city to date. Tagum City has reported a total of 13 fatalities.
"Tagum City is at a crossroad. Help us solve this problem," the task force added.
It also reminded the public not to "spread COVID-19 conspiracy theories that do nothing but endanger us all."
