Claudine Barretto undergoes hand surgery

Actress Claudine Barretto has surprised her fans with the news that she went through an "emergency" operation on her right hand.

On a series of Instagram post, she shared that is currently confined at St. Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, and prepping herself to do the surgery.

Then went on to ask her fans' guidance.

"Please pray for me that everything will be well, and everything goes well," she said.

Though didn't divulge much about what happened, the 41-year-old star shared it was something she got from an injury she had last year during her father's wake.

“Sorry, I look terrible pero if you remember last year, na-ospital ako during my dad's wake… 'Yung right hand ko, medyo nagka-problema. I have to have an emergency procedure or operation. So I'm asking everybody to please pray for me and not to worry kasi strong naman ako and kaya ko naman," she related.

She admitted feeling scared, but thankful to her sister, Gretchen, who made her laugh and laugh.

"At least naging maganda ang araw ko," said she some hours before she entered the operating room.

Later, Claudine posted a photo of her after the surgery along with her brother, JJ.

“@jjbarretto, thank you for visiting me and taking the risk to check on me. I love you so much,” she wrote as caption.
