Typhoon victims receive donated supplies from Coast Guard, Gerald Anderson


Around 4,000 families in Cagayan and Isabela provinces received relief supplies from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), with the help Filipino actor and Lieutenant Commander Gerald Anderson of the PCG Auxiliary, on Friday.

The relief operation was conducted on the same day of the 48th anniversary of the Coast Guard Special Operations Force (CGOF) led by Commodore Edgardo Hernando.

According to PCG, Anderson donated 1,500 food packs and sacks of rice, while thousands of relief goods were also distributed by Everest Academy Manila, particularly to the affected families in 12 barangays in Cauayan City, Isabela and five barangays in Solana, Cagayan.

The personnel of the Coast Guard Public Affairs (CGPA) also visited barangay health offices to distribute boxes of multivitamins, paracetamol, and antibiotics. 

Meanwhile, on the same day, other personnel from the PCG went to Angat, Bulacan to distribute sacks of rice and other food supplies to the families affected by the recent Typhoon Ulysses. 

Around 200 typhoon-hit families in Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Angat, Bulacan received help from the Coast Guard District National Capital Region - Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) and Coast Guard Auxiliary District NCR - CL.
