Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries awarded CLOA, receive relief packs from DAR

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed Certificate of Land Ownership Awards and relief packs to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Cagayan and Isabela from Nov. 21 to 22.

Forty-seven CLOAs and around 900 relief packs were delivered to the far-flung areas of Enrile, Solana, Amulung, and Alcala in Cagayan and San Pablo and Sto. Tomas towns in Isabela.

The distribution was led by Bureau Agrarian Legal Assistance Director Marjorie Ayson and Administrative Service Director Cupido Gerry Asuncion, representing DAR Secretary John Castriciones, along with DAR-Cagayan Valley Regional Director Samuel Solomero, and Cagayan Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Arthur Faeldon.

The DAR said the relief operation is an integral part of the "Serbisyong DAR to Door" program called "DAR to Door: Tulong-tulong sa Pagbangon" in which DAR officials take time to personally hand over CLOAs to selected farmer-beneficiaries, mostly aging or ailing farmers, who have long been waiting to receive their CLOAs.

This is usually done before the DAR officials proceed to a designated venue for the ceremonial CLOA distribution and turnover of the package of support services to ARB organizations (ARBOs).

"Ang pamamahagi po na ito ay kusang loob at mula sa puso para sa ating mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (This distribution is voluntary and from the heart for our agrarian reform beneficiaries)," Ayson said.

Each relief pack distributed to the ARBs contains supplemental food and non-food items which include rice, bread, canned sardines, 4 liters distilled drinking water, and hygiene kits.
