Claudine Barretto to file case against Raymart Santiago

The upcoming holidays look bleak for actor Raymart Santiago, with his estranged wife Claudine Barretto's lawyer making public their plan to sue him for supposedly failing agreed child support terms.

A report on Pep.Ph said Barretto's complaint against Santiago include his alleged breach of the Violence Against Women and Children Act or Republic Act 9262 and economic abuse.

It quoted Barretto's lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio as saying:

"Hindi nagbibigay ng sustento si Raymart. Ang tagal na!

"Nagbibigay siguro, 14 thousand (pesos) a month, ganun. 'Tapos, wala na."

The original agreement, according to Topacio, was for Santiago to provide P100, 000 a month as support.

"Before in court, meron na silang pinirmahan na 100 thousand a month—na pwede-pwede na rin, although insufficient pa rin.

"But even that, hindi natutupad, kaya we have to file a case against him."

That said, Topacio is hoping all will be settled at a meeting set at the Marikina City Prosecutor's Office on Dec. 10.

Barretto and Santiago married twice, in 2004 and 2006.

The two split rather acrimoniously in 2013.

They have three kids: Sabina, Quia and Santino.

Santino is Barretto's biological child with Santiago.

Sabina and Quia are adopted.

Barretto is still single, while Santiago is now in a relationship with actress Jodi Sta. Maria.

And because of that, Sta. Maria might be in trouble, too.

According to Topacio, they are mulling the possibility of filing a separate complaint against Sta. Maria for engaging in romantic relations with Santiago.

He related: "Pinag-aaralan pa namin ang iba't ibang anggulo."
