Michael B. Jordan hailed as People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' for 2020

People Magazine has spoken!

Michael B. Jordan, star of the forthcoming spy thriller "Without Remorse," has been named the "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2020 in the magazine's special double issue for November, it was announced on Thursday, Nov. 18.

Following the reign of the former title-holder John Legend, the 33-year-old actor is one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors who keeps his love life private.

Jordan joins the league of Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Ryan Reynolds, among others, who were also voted sexiest men alive the past years. Mel Gibson is the first sexiest man awardee in 1985.

In an interview published in Today.com, Jordan said he is grateful for the honor.

Jordan said: "It's a cool feeling, you know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.' But it’s a good club to be a part of."

His career started at a young age. Being a child model, he was known by many for his role at HBO's "The Wire" and soon appearing in ABC's "All My Children" in 2003 — replacing his future "Black Panther" co-star, the late Chadwick Boseman.

It was in 2010 when the brawny actor blossomed as he starred in one action movie after another.

Jordan played Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in Marvel's "Fantastic Four," and then Adonis "Donnie" Creed, the son of boxer Apollo Creed, in the "Rocky" sequel "Creed" and his entry point at the Marvel cinematic Universe as "Erik Killmonger."
