Water service interruptions for Maynilad customers in 10 Metro areas and parts of Cavite on Nov. 18-24

Maynilad customers in 11 areas in Metro Manila and four areas in Cavite will experience water service interruptions from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24.

Maynilad said it needs to clean its basins from the heavy volume of sludge brought by Typhoon Ulysses to its treatment plants.

The cleanup will be done to help restore the normal volume of water it produces, the water concessionaire added.

In an advisory Tuesday evening, Maynilad said affected areas in Metro Manila include Pasay, Caloocan, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Makati, Quezon City, Navotas, Malabon, Valenzuela, and Manila.

Four areas in Cavite, namely, Novoleta, Imus, Kawit, and Bacoor will also experience the daily water interruption.

Maynilad, meanwhile, told its customers that the first-out water might be blurred or colored once the water supply resumes in their area.

“Padaluyin muna ito nang panandalian hanggang sa luminaw ang tubig (Let it flow shortly until the water clears),” Maynilad said.
