New rookie girl group BINI, Star Hunt Academy’s bet for P-Pop-stardom has arrived in the local music scene.

From the 250 hopefuls, eight vibrant young individuals who embody the idea of a modern Filipina—sweet, fierce, independent, and informed—have emerged to become the faces and voices to watch in the growing musical genre.

Comprising BINI are: Aiah (19), Colet (18), Maloi (18), Gwen (17), Stacey (17), Mikha (16), Jhoanna (16), and Sheena (16).

BINI was trained by Filipino voice coaches Kitchy Molina and Anna Graham, and Austrian-born dance coach Mickey Perz. They were also trained under esteemed South Korean training group MU Doctor, which has already helped launch successful idol careers of K-Pop stars who have trained under MU Doctor are Mino (WINNER), Hye-bin (Momoland), Hyojung (Oh My Girl), I.M (Monsta X), Changbin (Stray Kids), and Kim Sohee (Produce 101).

Star Hunt Management head Laurenti Dyogi said BINI will perform a mix of original songs and classic revivals for the upcoming singles of Bini.

For its pre-debut single, BINI just dropped "Da Coconut Nut," an electro-pop remake of the Smokey Mountain classic and National Artist Ryan Cayabyab composition. Listen to it on BINI's YouTube Channel.

MU Doctor collaborated with Korean musical producer VO3E to transform “Da Coconut Nut” from novelty to a dance ditty worthy of the P-Pop scene. Korean dance coaches Moon Yeon Joo and Kwan Seong Chan, who have worked with big names such as BTS, Twice, Red Velvet, and Seventeen, helped with the group’s choreography.

Watch out for the debut of the song’s music video on November 20 on BINI TV, the group's YouTube channel.
