Ivana Alawi's mom to donate P500K b-day gift she received from daughter to typhoon victims

Philanthropy is now the in thing in local Tinseltown, with celebrities both big and small making huge effort to help kababayans who suffered greatly from typhoon Ulysses.

The same has rubbed off on Ivana Alawi's mom, Fatima Marbella.

On the most recent vlog uploaded by Ivana Alawi where they celebrated her birthday, Fatima pledged to donate the P500,000 she received from her daughter to victims of the calamity.

Seemingly careful not to ignite bashing for making public the donation, Ivana explained they simply wanted to share the story to inspire other people.Â

She went on to describe her mom as "super selfless."

"May golden heart. On the spot, gusto niya agad ibigay 'yung regalo ko sa kanya," she said.

"Sobrang na touch ako, parang na i-inspire talaga ako kay mom na the first thing she thought of was ibigay kung ano man 'yung meron siya," the actress' younger sister Mona added.Â

Meanwhile, Ivana shared on her Facebook page how she is busy of late repacking relief goods to victims of typhoon Ulysses in Isabela and Cagayan.
