Update: Typhoon 'Ulysses' donation funds by BTS ARMYs in the Philippines reach P3 million

BTS fans in the Philippines have raised a total of P3,106,697.92 (about $64,495) as of Nov. 16 to help families and communities affected by typhoon “Ulysses” (international name “Vamco”), which left 67 people dead and caused massive flooding in many areas including Cagayan and Tuguegarao.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), as of Nov. 16, typhoon “Ulysses” had affected 2.07 million people, or 523,871 families, in 5,186 barangays in Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan), III (Central Luzon), CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), V (Bicol), National Capital Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

It recorded 178 incidents of flooding in the said regions and there were also 21 people injured and 13 missing in Regions II, CALABARZON, V and CAR.

“Ulysses” also damaged P2.13 billion worth of agriculture in Regions I, II, III, CALABARZON, V CAR and NCR, and P482.85 million worth in infrastructure Regions 1, MIMAROPA and V.

Manila Bulletin reported on Nov. 16 that BTS ARMYs in the Philippines have raised P2 million as of Nov. 15. An updated list showed that they have increased the total donation to P3 million as of Nov. 16.
