LIST: Fashion auctions, sales, and other initiatives for typhoon victims

Just like in the early days of the quarantine period, the fashion community is once again coming up with ways to help fellow Filipinos get back on their feet, after the devastating aftermath of typhoon "Ulysses."

Here are some sales for a cause, auctions, and other fund-raising activities led by fashion creatives and other organizations, proving that even in the most gloomiest state, the local fashion industry is here to help.

Heart Evangelista auction dress

Through her Maison Love Marie, actress and style icon Heart Evangelista puts up her hand-painted Mark Bumgarner white terno dress up for auction, with all its proceeds be given to charity. The item is the first of the many designer items Heart will be auctioning to raise funds for the typhoon victims.

Designers' Holiday Bazaar

Apart from promoting local brands and creating more student scholarships, local fashion brand Piopio is releasing a new collection at Designers' Holiday Bazaar, with 20 percent of its sales be donated to Ayala Foundation for Cagayan relief operations.

Araw the Line sample sale

Local fashion brand Araw the Line will be holding a sample sale this today. All of the sales will be donated to People for Accountable Governance and Sustainable Actions (PAGASA) and environmental service For The Future to aid those who are affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

Josanna Sample Sale

The Marikina-based shoe brand Studio Josanna is doing a sample sale, selling its current inventory at half the retail price until Nov. 21. Fellow shoemakers and Marikina City's relief operations will benefit from the sale. Studio Josanna is also partnering with Pembarya Project, a non-profit organization that helps "no work, no pay" Filipinos.

OVP Clothing Donation

Vice President Leni Robredo partnered with 10 organizations to do a relief clothing operation for the calamity victims. The Office of the Vice President urges everyone who would like to help to not donate any used or soiled clothing in light of ongoing pandemic.
