Fans in the Philippines of K-pop superstars BTS have raised P2 million to help those affected by the recent typhoon “Ulysses” (“Vamco”), which left 67 people dead, 21 injured and 13 missing.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that as of Nov. 15, the typhoon had affected 1.75 million people in Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan), III (Central Luzon), CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), V (Bicol), National Capital Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
Typhoon "Ulysses also brought P1.19 billion worth of damage to agriculture in Regions I, II, III, CALABARZON, V and CAR, and P469.7 million worth of damage to infrastructure. It damaged 25,852 houses in Regions I, III, CALABARZON, V and CAR, the NDRRMC added.
K-pop fans have launched donation drives to raise funds and gather food and other supplies for affected families and communities.

BTS ARMYs in the Philippines banded together to help and as a result, they have raised P2,024,265.49 as of Nov. 15.
