Dr Ted Esguerra, founder of the Wilderness Search and Rescue Philippines, joined forces with a group of emergency rescuers like React Ready, Project Michaelangelo Foundation, and the Emergency Management Unit of the Energy Development Corporation went into areas submerged in flood waters.

7. When the PCG worked in quiet determination to save people, but whose most touching pictures include the careful retrieval of senior citizens residing at Hospicio de San Jose in San Miguel Manila as floodwaters entered the building.
