"San Mateo Pound lost almost everything because of #UlyssesPH. They are one of the very few dog pounds in our country with a #NoKillPolicy -- meaning they do not euthanize their impounded animals," Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) wrote on Facebook.

"The AKF Team will be bringing dog food and other supplies to San Mateo Pound later within the day and in the coming days. Everyone is also encouraged to help in any way," it added.

The public is encouraged to donate dog food, dog food bowls, dog food containers, blankets, trash bags, and cleaning materials.

Donations can be directly dropped at San Mateo Pound in Monterock Brgy. Dulongbayan 1 San Mateo, Rizal or at AKF's shelter at 204 Heart Tower, Valero St., Salcedo Village, Makati.

Massive flooding in San Mateo, Rizal brought by Typhoon "Ulysses" forced many residents to climb rooftops and beg for rescue.

The death toll from the typhoon rose to 67 on Sunday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, while damage to infrastructure is estimated at P6.378 billion.
