Online karate sensation James De los Santos delivered another dominant performance as he pocketed two gold medals to improve his collection to 21 with two titles this weekend.

The world No. 1 De los Santos ruled the NOX Dojo Markham City Open and the Okinawa E-Tournament World Series 2 as results came out Sunday in the online page of World Karate Federation.

“I am really happy winning my 20th and 21st gold medals,” De los Santos told Manila Bulletin.

“There are still more tournaments coming up, and it makes me even more motivated. I am also proud of my MKKPI students who did well at the Okinawa World Series. Their progress has really improved.”

The 30-year-old De los Santos triumphed against Domont Matias Moreo of Switzerland in the final of the NOX Dojo Markham City Open, 25.3-24.2, for his 20th gold medal.

On his way to the final, he defeated Ali Mirkarimi of Canada 24.9-20-9 in the quarterfinal and Alfredo Bustamante of the USA 25.4-24.5 in the semifinal round of the e-tournament.

For his 21st gold, it only took De los Santos two wins to rule the second leg of the Okinawa E-Tournament World Series, beating Nejc Sternisa of Slovenia, 24.8-24.2, in the semifinal, and Bustamante, 24.8-24.48, in the final.

De los Santos hopes to make it three as he is in the final round of the Athlete's e-Tournament against Moreno. He now has won three for the month of November after he won the e-Champions Trophy World Series 2 against Silvio Cerone-Biogioni of South Africa.

In the distaff side, Julia Marcos won two gold medals as she dominated the U-21 and women’s senior kata, while Fatima Hamsain won gold in e-kumite U-16 and silver in U-15 kata, and Christina Karen Colonia took the bronze in U-18 kata.

Last month, De los Santos won a total of seven gold medals after he ruled the Pune Open India Karate e-tournament, the 3rd Katana Inter-Continental Karate League e-Tournament, Golden League Karate e-Tournament Series 2, Venice Cup 2020, the Okinawa E-Tournament World Series, the 1st Euro Grand Prix and the 2nd e-Karate Games 2020.

Last September, he also won in seven events, the Tokaido Maribor Open eTournament, 4th SportData eTournament World Series, Hatamoto Kai Mitad Del Mundo E-Tournament, E-Champions Trophy World Series, the Miyamoto Musashi Five Rings and the 2nd Dutch Open E-Tournament.

De los Santos also won gold in the e-Karate Games 2020 and the Athletes E-Tournament last August, the Balkan Open eTournament in July, the Korokotta Cup last June and the Palestine International Karate Cup last April.
