11,290 new survivors put total PH COVID recoveries to 374,329
The total number of patients who have already recovered from COVID-19 has climbed to over 374,000 on Sunday, Nov. 15, the Department of Health (DOH) said.

There were 11,290 survivors recorded by the DOH, pushing the overall tally of recoveries to 374,329. The huge increase was due to the Oplan Recovery program, which tags a patient as recovered after completing the quarantine period and absence of symptoms.
The country’s caseload also jumped to 407,838 after 1,530 new individuals were confirmed to have contracted the disease. Of the total, only 25,677 are active cases.
Of the active cases, 82.5 percent are mild, 8.4 percent are asymptomatic, 5.6 percent are critical, 3.2 percent are severe, and 0.20 percent are in moderate condition.
Most of the new confirmed cases were from Cavite with 90, Rizal with 84, City of Manila with 79, Davao City with 78, and Taguig City with 73.
The department also reported 41 new fatalities, which brings the total death toll to 7,832.
“Twelve duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, eight were recovered cases. In addition, 17 recovered cases found to be negative and were removed from the total case count after final validation,” the DOH noted.
“Moreover, four cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths,” it added.
