Blue and clean flood water emerged in Pakil, Laguna after the onslaught of Typhoon "Ulysses."

Mayor Vince Soriano said the photos were taken at Malaking Ilog in Barangay Burgos, Poblacion.
"Para po sa kabatiran ng lahat, ang ilog pong ito ay natural na malinis dahil ang tubig na dumadaloy dito ay nanggagaling direkta sa Turumba spring Resort (The water flowing in this river is naturally clean because it comes directly from Turumba Spring Resort)," Soriano wrote on Facebook on Friday.
Pakil, he added, is also considered a fish sanctuary.
"Deklaradong Fish Sanctuary po ito ng aming bayan. Noong humupa ang Bagyong Ulysses kahapon, iyan po ang kinalabasan ng baha sa nasabung lugar (This is a fish sanctuary of our town. When Typhoon Ulysses subsided yesterday, this was the color of our floodwater)," Soriano said.
The mayor added that fishing in Malaking Ilog is forbidden and violators are fined. However, residents can catch fish that escaped when the river overflowed and reached the rice fields.
"Yung mga malalaking isda dito na nakawala na sa ilog at nasa palayan na sa paligid ay pwede na pong bingwitin (the big fishes that went with the overflowing river into the rice fields can now be caught)."
