VIRAL: Baby in a basin survives Typhoon Ulysses

#babysapalanggana2020 is now safe and dry

We come across stories of Filipino’s ingenuity every time the nation goes through a disaster. Typhoon Ulysses is definitely one for the books, as it has been compared to the likes of Yolanda from 2013.

So many powerful and heart wrenching and equally heartwarming photos have been circling online, and one of those include Romelyn Talbano VII. She posted photos of their baby daughter in a makeshift boat made out of a basin. The baby was surrounded with clothes, mimicking a soft bed. Another photo showed a man pushing the tub and holding an umbrella as he crossed the flood to safety.

This morning, they posted another update.

“Safe na safe po ang aming baby na nasa palanggana. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa mga dasal, malasakit, at tulong nyo po. God bless you po! Mag ingat po tayong lahat. #babysapalanggana2020”
