Launching on November 26, 2020

Changan, one of China’s four largest automakers, is back in the Philippine market with greater resolve to make an impact despite being on the most challenging periods in the industry. Changan vehicles will be distributed by Changan Motor Philippines, Inc., which is helmed by Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo. She also heads Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) and steered Hyundai from relative anonymity into one of the country’s most sought-after vehicles today.
Slated for an official launch on November 26, 2020, Changan is poised to hit the ground running with 15 pioneer dealerships with sales and service ready nationwide. It has another 24 dealerships in the pipeline with a total of 39 envisioned in the next few years.
5 models

To whet customers’ appetites, Changan previewed five new models that will be available and at its launch. These are made up of a subcompact sedan, three SUVs, and a fully-electric vehicle.
Leading the lineup is the Alsvin subcompact sedan. It hopes to one-up its more established competitors with features like a sunroof, cruise control, blind spot and rear cameras, a tire pressure monitoring system, and leather seats.

Starting the SUV lineup is the CS35 Plus. This compact SUV is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo and comes with a panoramic sunroof, engine remote start, passive keyless entry, blind spot and rear cameras, 10-inch touchscreen display, and seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
A larger offering is the CS75 Plus. This mid-level SUV is powered by a larger 1.5-liter turbo with six-speed automatic. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, 360° panoramic camera, engine remote start, 12-inch touchscreen, seven-inch digital cluster, cruise control, three drive modes, and six airbags.
Its largest SUV is the CS95 seven-seater, powered by a 2.0L turbocharged GDI engine and six-speed automatic transmission. It comes with a massive 12.3-inch center touchscreen, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, 360° high-definition panoramic camera, and panoramic sunroof.
Finally, Changan also hopes to leapfrog over the competition with their fully-electric car, the Eado EV460. Named the best “green” car in China, this vehicle can be charged with a regular wall outlet. It has all the standard vehicle amenities including six airbags, electric stability control, leather seats, and more.
To further reassure buyers of these vehicles’ reliability, Changan includes a five-year, 150,000-kilometer warranty and free Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS) for the first year, or up to 20,000 kilometers for each vehicle. Each model completed four million kilometers in test mileage plus 4,500 tests in 15 areas including strength, safety, and environment.
More options for the Filipino

“Many have asked why we are launching a new brand in this challenging environment. The answer is simple--as an industry veteran of 20 years, I strongly believe Changan is a promising brand,” CMPI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said.“I am also a believer in offering Filipinos a wider range of product options, and Changan vehicles have that winning combination of intelligent features, trend-setting designs, extensive safety features, and outstanding engine performance. With its attractive price points, motorists no longer need to pay a premium to enjoy premium features.”
Changan Automobile is one of the top four Chinese automakers, with 37 years of experience in auto manufacturing. The characters “Chang” and “An” put together mean “Lasting Safety.” This is what the country’s newest automotive player, Changan, aims to offer the Filipino public.
