Typhoon closes PCSO main, branches; lotto draws moved
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office closed Thursday its main office as well as its branches in some areas and announced adjustments in its lotto draw schedule due to typhoon “Ulysses."

In a public advisory, the PCSO said that its main office on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City and branches in several areas are closed on Nov. 12 pursuant to the Memorandum Circular No. 82 issued by the Office of the President on Nov. 11 suspending government work due to the typhoon.
PCSO said that its offices in Ilocos, (Region I), Central Luzon (Region III), Bicol (Region V), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), CALABARZON (Region IV-A), MIMAROPA (Region IV-B), and National Capital Region (NCR) “shall be closed to the transacting public” on Nov. 12 by “reason of the continuing inclement weather brought about by typhoon Ulysses.”
PCSO offices are scheduled to resume regular operations on Nov. 13.
Also in view of Ulysses, PCSO announced that its 2 p.m. lotto draw shall be conducted together with the 5 p.m. lotto draw on Nov. 12.
Amid the threat of danger brought by Ulysses in Catanduanes, the PCSO Relief Operations Team -- under the instructions of General Manager Royina Marzan Garma -- brought assistance to the affected families in Bicol.
On Nov. 10, the team, along with other government agencies led by the Office of the President and the Office of Sen. Christoper Lawrence Go, delivered relief assistance to 1,000 families in Bato, Catanduanes who were affected by super typhoon “Rolly.”
The PCSO Relief Operations Team also provided relief assistance to the affected families in Virac, Catanduanes and other nearby provinces.
PCSO also donated P2-million worth of financial assistance to San Miguel, Catanduanes. The calamity assistance is for the damages brought about by Rolly.
