Several areas in Mandaluyong City were submerged under flood waters due to heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon “Ulysses.”
In a Twitter post, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) said flooding in some parts of the city were knee-deep.
As of 3 a.m., flooded areas in the city were P. Cruz and F. Ortigas in Barangay New Zaniga, and J. Vicencio and Aglipay in Barangay Old Zaniga.
The Acacia Lane in Barangay Hagdang Bato was also under ankle-deep flood waters.
According to the CDRRMO, flooding were also experienced in some parts of Barangay Poblacion.
The state weather bureau has placed Metro Manila under tropical cyclone signal No. 3 because of the typhoon.
