Some areas in Pasig experience power interruption as ‘Ulysses’ brings strong winds, heavy rain in metro


Some parts of Pasig City experienced power interruption amid heavy rainfall and strong winds brought by typhoon “Ulysses” over Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
 
In a Twitter post, Mayor Vico Sotto said portions of Barangays Pinagbuhatan and Maybunga experienced power outage around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
 
“Brownout in parts of Pinagbuhatan and Maybunga. Aware na po ang Meralco (Meralco is already aware of the situation),” he wrote.
 
Sotto said it might take some time for the power to return for it is not yet safe to conduct repairs during severe weather conditions.
 
The mayor also disclosed reports of fallen trees, leaning electrical posts, and grounded streetlights in some areas in Pasig during the onslaught of the typhoon.
 
He assured that the local government is closely monitoring the situation the city.
