Safe Davao QR for establishments now up

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has come up with a temporary solution to stop traffic-related crashes of the Safe Davao QR registration site. Earlier this month, safedavaoqr.davaoct.com a website where Davao City residents and visitors need to access to register and get the personal QR code was overwhelmed with people accessing the site at the same time making it unusable. To control the heavy web traffic, the Davao City government implemented separate registration sites for establishments and individuals.

“The link for establishments will be up on Wednesday. Establishment registration can then resume. The individual registration will follow but we will just give an official advisory,” Duterte said during her Davao City Disaster Radio program on Tuesday, November 10.

The official website of the Davao City government also reported that a total of 360,000 individuals have already registered from October 31 to November 4 before the site was taken down for maintenance.

The mandatory use of the DQR system aims to hasten contact tracing in the city. The deadline for the DQR enforcement is on November 23 where people outside their residents would be apprehended if they fail to show the personal DQR code. Also on November 23, establishments, where possible close contact could take place, will be required to use the DQR system.

The DQR system, Mayor Sara said could do a complete trace within 24 hours if the data scanned are complete.

If you own a business establishment where possible close contact of individuals could take place you need to register for a "Safe Davao QR" code at https://establishments.safe-davao.com

The site for individual registration as of this posting is still not available.
