As typhoon Ulysses (international name: Vamco) battered the country, hundreds of thousands of Filipinos were left severely affected by the destructive storm, with its howling winds and torrential rains.

Rescue operations, conducted by local government units, were the center of attention on social media feeds as more and more cries for help persisted with the hashtag #RescuePH. Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms became virtual emergency helplines overnight as the typhoon paralyzed countless areas.
