Over 240 families evacuated from high-risk areas in Carmona, Cavite due to 'Ulysses'

CARMONA, Cavite - The local government unit started evacuating families in hazard and accident-prone areas within the municipality on Wednesday (November 11), in preparation for Typhoon “Ulysses.”

According to the Municipal Information Office, an estimated number of 243 families or 977 individuals are being evacuated to public schools starting this afternoon.

The evacuees are from high-risk areas in Barangays Bancal, Lantic, 1 Poblacion, Mabuhay, Cabilang Baybay, Maduya, Milagosa, and 8 Rosario.

Affected families will be provided with beddings, rice, canned goods, and hot meals in evacuation centers.

The Municipal and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils remain on full alert as “Ulysses” moves to approach Southern Luzon.
