LOOK: This beauty brand drops limited edition Philippine-culture inspired products

They say that beauty goes beyond the skin, and it seems like for beauty brand Nivea Philippines, beauty is not just about physical appearance, but also about culture and tradition. 

To showcase unique Filipino traditions, the said brand has released a limited edition packaging for its Crème, original care lip balm, and strawberry shine lip balm. These packages feature unique artworks inspired by Filipino culture, expressed in colorful, quirky illustrations. 

The Nivea Crème tins highlight familiar Pinoy symbols like the sun rise, the king of the road a.ka. jeepneys, rice terraces, and an illustration of the mano po gesture, while still providing the same well-loved paraben- and preservative-free, moisturizing cream. Meanwhile, the packages for the lip balms feature traditional patterns taken from Philippine textiles emblazoned on the tubes. 

Aside from promoting Filipino culture, a portion of the sales from these products will be set aside to help the education of scholars from the Fairplay For All Foundation. This organization provides support for scholars through Youth Groups, regular scheduled academic tutoring by volunteers and community workers, and financial aid through the Education Sponsorship Program.
