Netizens shock at IG photo of Clint Bondad with caption 'Ave Satanas'

German-Filipino model Clint Bondad has exchanged thoughts among netizens on the issue of repentance after he captioned an Instagram photo with "Ave Satanas" recently.

A netizen commented: "Find your way back to the Lord. Repent, please."

Bondad, former boyfriend of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, replied: "What if I don't want to?"

In Catholic church, the Latin word Ave means an expression of greeting. It is often associated with Mary, the Mother of God. Thus it is commonly said Ave Maria or Hail Mary in English.

In Pilipino, satanas means satan.
