Pateros LGU distributes second tranche of SAP to 1,900 beneficiaries

The Pateros municipal government started today (November 9) the distribution of the second tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) cash aid.

Mayor Miguel Ponce III said the beneficiaries are those who have already received P8,000 but were unable to receive another P8,000 through the GCASH app due to problems in the distribution and list of names.

He said there are 2,700 beneficiaries in the new distribution of SAP but only 1,900 beneficiaries would receive it for now. The remaining 800 are being reviewed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR).

“Nagkaroon po ng problema yung mahigit na 800 na kababayan natin dahil ang sinasabi ng NCR , sa kanilang pag-assess o pagtataya ay mayroon pong mga duplication na nangyari. Na either nabigyan po sa SSS , nabigyan sa DOLE o kaya ay nagkaroon ng confusion dahil ginawang ng unang payment ng GCASH na pinamahala po ng DSWD-NCR (There was a problem in the more than 800 of our townmates because according to the DSWD-NCR, in their assessment, there was duplication of names that happened, either they already received from SSS, DOLE or there was confusion in the first payment made through GCASH which DSWD-NCR delegated),” Ponce said.

He assured the remaining 800 that they will receive the SAP as the municipal government is exerting its efforts that they be included as beneficiaries.

The distribution of SAP will be done on November 9 and 10. Those who will be given SAP on November 9 are from the first district of Pateros consisting of Barangays Sta. Ana, San Roque, and Martirez and this will be done at the Martirez covered court.

On November 10, the distribution will be done at the Santo Rosario Kanluran covered court and the beneficiaries are from Barangays Poblacion, San Pedro, Aguho, Tabacalera, Magtanggol, Santo Rosario Kanluran, and Santo Rosario Silangan.
