Gabbi Garcia on working with BF Khalil Ramos

Just like other celebrity couples, Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos made a decision early on to separate their personal affair with work.

Gabbi explained in a recent interview that this is mainly due to fear working together would spoil their relationship.

"First-year namin or first two years namin ni Khalil -- sabi talaga namin na ayaw naming magtrabaho together kasi feeling nga namin baka mahaluaan ng showbiz or whatsoever," was how she put it.

Their stance has changed since with fans clamoring for them to work together.

"Parang na re-realize namin na nasa sa inyo din po 'yun," Gabbi shared.

"Siguro parang natuto na rin po kami how to handle our relationship. So we just don't let (work) affect (it) po and we make sure po to keep our privacy and i-share lang kung hanggang saan lang po 'yung pwede namin i-share."

Of course, she was happy when Khalil joined the GMA-7 family.

But she admitted to have been anxious about it all.

"Hindi ko din alam, for some reason -- well mas emosyonal kasi akong tao compare with Khalil, Khalil is very chill person, ako kasi aligaga ako minsan. I was so nervous kasi I wanted him to feel at his best when he entered GMA. And knowing this network, napakabait ng lahat ng tao, so siguro 'yun 'yung added kaba kasi we know that this network, 'yung mga tao sa network na 'to are so nice, na I just want everything not to fail."

Just recently, Gabbi and Khalil worked together for her youth-oriented reality program "In Real Life (IRL)."

In the episode, she and her boyfriend of three years went on a food trip in Tagaytay.

"Sabi ko kasi sa production very adventurous kami ni Khalil when it comes to food, na very much willing kami to try new things so nag Tagaytay kami. May dalawang restaurants du'n, du'n kami nag-explore ng pagkain, nag-usap sa mga issues, topics, and we did a mini-photo shoot for Instagram."
