6 Mandaluyong villages now have zero active COVID-19 cases

Some barangays in Mandaluyong City now have zero active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), as the total number of active cases in the city continues to drop.

Latest data from the local government showed that six out of 27 barangays in Mandaluyong have zero active cases of COVID-19 as of November 7.

These are Barangays Bagong Silang, New Zaniga, Pag-asa, Pleasant Hills, Vergara, and Wack-Wack.

Some local government units in Metro Manila noted a significant decline in the number of active COVID-19 cases in their respective localities in recent weeks.

In Mandaluyong, active cases further dipped to 142 on Saturday, with 5,241 recoveries and 177 deaths.

Back on September 7, Mandaluyong had more than 1,000 active cases of COVID-19.

Since the start of the pandemic in March, the city government reported a total of 5,560 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with most of the infections were recorded in Barangay Addition Hills.

With this, the local government has reminded the public to comply with the health and safety protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields, observe physical distancing, and maintain personal proper hygiene.
