WATCH: Piolo Pascual drops music video for 'Iiyak Sa Ulan'

Seasoned actor Piolo Pascual has surprised fans with the music video of his latest song "Iiyak Sa Ulan" uploaded online recently.

Piolo, 43, starred in the music clip with his powerful and emotional acting.

The lyrics goes: "‘Di mo na kailangan pang/ Sabihing aalis ka na/ Tingin pa lang ng ‘yong mata/ Ramdam ko ng lilisan ka/ At kung sakaling isiping/ Nasasaktan ako/ Kung pwede lang sabihin sa iyo/ Iiyak lang ako pag may ulan/ Iiyak lang ako ng ‘di mo malalaman/ Para ‘di mo makita ang mga matang luhaan/ ‘Di bale ng masaktan/ ‘Di bale na basta’t masaya ka lang/ ‘Wag ka nang mag alala/ Habang nandyan kapa'y ‘di luluha/ At sa araw na aalis ka na/ ‘Wag ng mag alinlangan pa/ Para ‘di na ako aasa pa."

The words and music are from Dan Lagroma while Jonathan Manalo produced it.

Uploaded by ABS-CBN’s music outfit Star Music, the video has received warm reactions from netizens.

An online user even noted how "beautiful" the song is, as it tackles the story of "unconditional love."

"Unang linya palang masakit na… namiss ko mga kanta mo Papa P…" one netizen wrote, while another commented: "Akala ko si Moira lng ang mapanakit. Pati ba nman ikaw papa P."

Piolo's singing career "accidentally" started 17 years ago when his mother Amelia wanted him to be a singer.

"In my television shows like ASAP and my stage shows with the Hunks, we were all made to sing. I guess I got noticed as a singer because they told me, ‘Why don’t you make an album?’ I was at first hesitant because I am not really a singer," he shared from previous reports.
